Happy Happy Birthday Baby

This blog post is all about birthdays. First and foremost I want to wish my amazing wife a very happy birthday. I love you.

So for some people birthdays are a very special day in which we can celebrate the day we were brought into this world. For others, birthdays are a day they would rather skip altogether. The are varying degrees along this scale from excited and sadness when it comes to birthday. Some people believe that the day is so special that nothing else should matter except for that person. I know many people that just feel after a certain age it just becomes another day. I tend to think that birthday, while they are about that person who was born, are they day that we should be thankful for those in our lives. Thankful that they were born, thankful that they have come into our life, and thankful that they continue to be in our life. In this digital age of social media so many people tend to think that wishing someone a happy birthday on their facebook page is enough said. And in some situations perhaps it is enough said. I know I have people on my facebook who I have actually talked with in decades, and when they wish me a happy birthday I’m thankful that they remembered me and I sometimes recall memories of them. However, I really and truly believe that for those people we are closest to we should really do a little more. Such as, a phone call, a card, a gift, so see them face to face, take that little extra effort so that know you truly and honestly are glad they were born and are a part of your life. As for me I was able to wake up this morning to a beautiful and loving woman on her birthday, to the sound of her voice telling me my coffee was ready, then to her telling me there was a coyote in the pasture (smirk and laugh). My only hope is that her entire day is as blessed and wonderful and this day has started out for me.

Next 24 hrs – The next 24 hours will primarily be all about my beautiful wife and celebrating the day of her birth.

Thoughts and Concerns – Thankful for my wife, that we found each other and we love each other

Quotes of the day – “

Oh, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiope’s ear,
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear.
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows
As yonder lady o’er her fellows shows.
The measure done, I’ll watch her place of stand,
And, touching hers, make blessèd my rude hand.
Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight!
For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night.
William Shakespeare from Romeo and Juliet  Act 1 Scene 5
