So my standard operating procedure when producing the podcast is after I have recorded, edited, and published the podcast I download it to my iPod. Once I have it downloaded I give it a listen so that I know how it sounds to my listeners. This weeks episode was about Memorial Day and I changed the format a little bit by using TAPS as the outro music. The reason for this post is that while I was sitting outside on the patio working on a new blog post I decided to give my podcast a listen to check its quality. When TAPS played both of my dogs, who were just laying down enjoying the cool morning air, perked their heads then stood up as if rising to attention. Amazing to me how animals (pets, four-legged family members) can sense the appropriate behavior for the appropriate moment. It touched me enough that I thought I would share this little story with you. On Memorial Day 2016, on a small homestead in Kansas, two amazing canines stood at attention for the playing of TAPS. From my family to yours have a happy and safe Memorial Day. Most importantly to the families who have lost a loved one providing for our freedom, my family sends its sincerest condolences and heartfelt appreciation for your loved ones sacrifice. No greater love has a man than to lay down his life for a friend. ESSAYONS
