Windy days on the plains

Last 24 – Not a lot to report today. The lawn mower is ready for action, so that’s a good start for our lawn care. Of course the daily chores were done, watering the cows and the trees. The trees however would really benefit from some added mulch. The wife and I have decided to rent a booth space at a local flee market. Hopefully we can sell some the stuff we have laying around and give it a new home. I have entertained the idea before of making a product to sell at flee markets. Something like picture frames, little wooden boxes, or other such thing that I could build in my shop. However, the biggest issue really is time, if I find some extra time work something out maybe we’ll try it and see how it goes.

Next 24 – With the extreme winds we are having this week mowing the lawn may not get done as quick as we would like. That’s ok though we have plenty of tasks that we need to get accomplished around the homestead.

Thoughts and Concerns – Lots of things to do, but one by one we’ll get them scratched off the list. I’m kicking around the idea of raised garden beds, but all I have ever done is tilled garden plots. Maybe we can do a combination of both.

Quotes of the day – “What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but trifles to be sure; but, scattered along life’s pathway, the good they do is inconceivable.” Joseph Addison (was an English essayist, poet, playwright, and politician. He was the eldest son of The Reverend Lancelot Addison)
